Host An Art Party
Having a Blue Moxie art party is a great way to have fun with a group of your friends. Because I'm a mixed media artist, my projects are so much more than just paint. We frequently use paper, modeling paste and even wood blocks.
I've done parties for birthdays of all ages, baby showers, girls night out, family nights, etc. Each project typically takes about 2 hours, depending on the amount of people participating.
I have a variety of projects for you to choose from. Prices vary from project to project but always include all supplies. A $100 minimum is required, which is typically four people. You can reserve your party with a $50 nonrefundable deposit, which goes towards your party total.
If you see a project that you want to make without hosting a party, we can totally do that. I will do that in my home without a minimum requirement.

Blue Moxie Events
I host monthly events, usually for kids,  at a variety of places in the Chino area. These events are typically 2-5 hours long, depending on the amount of projects. Students must be able to sit and focus for the duration of the event. Any event over 2 hours does have a break!
Space is always limited so preregistration is required.

Monthly Art Classes
This is where the art gets wild! Students come to my home on a set schedule, either once or twice a month.
Typically we sketch together and then make a project in our art journals related to our sketching. Unlike other classes, we design these projects together. They learn how to take an idea from a sketch to a completed project. This is also where they learn a variety of mediums. We may use watercolors, acrylics, collage, India ink, oil pastels, etc. Sometimes we use it all! I
I encourage them to ask "What if"? and to explore. Sometimes we have amazing results and other times we have fantastic failures. I think that's a great lesson for them to learn, in life and art, to ask "what if"? and to try new things and that if they don't work out, it's completely ok, now you know what not to do next time.
My approach is very relaxed.  I encourage them to try new things and enjoy the process. "Why not!" is the phrase I use the most, in all my classes.
Each student is required to have their own sketch book, art journal, mechanical pencil and white eraser. I provide all other materials for each class.
Cost is $30 per student for a two hour lesson.

Summer Art Camp

$200

Art Camp is my favorite time of year and I'm really excited about the projects this year. I thought they couldn't get any better than last year but I was wrong! I'm offering two different camps this year, both of which offer a variety of art projects that I know the kids are going to love!

Camp is almost 3.5 hours each day and campers must be able to work/pay attention for that long. Beginners are welcome but each camper needs to have basic cutting skills and be able to follow directions. I will help them when needed but  I don't do their art for them so this isn't for very young children.  Ask me about a sibling discount and a multiple camp discount for those not paying with charter funds.

If you didn't attend camp last year then you can register for either/both camps. Those that attended the 201098 camp will want to register for the new camp.

All camps run from 9:00-12:30, Monday thru Thursday

2022 Art Camp

July 11-14

July 18-21

August 1-4

August 22-25

This is a brand new camp for 2022, with all new projects. The projects are a surprise but I can tell you that there will be a disco ball and dimensional sidewalk chalk art!

Repeat Art Camp

August 8-11

This is a repeat of last 2019's camp, with sea turtles and toucans and lots of other cool stuff. We loved this camp so much last year that we didn't want it to end!

A $100 non-refundable deposit holds your spot for either camp, with the remaining balance due on the first day of camp. Please note: If you are paying with charter school funds and you cancel, you will be invoiced for the entire amount.  You can register your student on my CURRENT CLASSES AND EVENTS page.  Charter school parents, please contact me to register your child. All students must be able to sit and pay attention/work for 3 hours and be able to cut, trace, etc. Students with disabilities that might need a little extra help are always welcome.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to seeing ya'll in camp!
