A little bit about who I am and what I do

My Blue Moxie philosophy is to first and foremost remain true blue to yourself and your art.

This is why my style of teaching is to encourage you to make each piece your own, walking away with a piece of art from your heart, not just a copy of something that I did. Although everyone in class makes the same project, they will all be individual and unique to each person.

Secondly, embrace your inner moxie by being daring and taking chances in your art. Have the courage and spunk to try new things. No matter how creative (or not!) you feel you are, trust me, YOU can absolutely do this!

Moxie: pluck, daring, courage, sass, spunk, skill...yeah, we've got this!

I can't remember a time when I wasn't creating something. My childhood memories are full of drawing, painting, writing and a plethora of assorted art and craft projects.  I was the daydreamer who got busted more than once for drawing in class.   As a creative soul, art has been the one constant in every stage of my life.

I love all types of art mediums and could never choose just one or two to work with. When I first heard the term "mixed media artist" a few years ago, it clicked in my heart. That is definitely who I am. I've spent years studying, practicing and growing my craft.

I am passionate about sharing what I do with others and helping them along their own artsy journey. One of my biggest joys is when a student, who told me at the beginning of class that they couldn't do this, wants a photo of themselves taken with their finished project because they are so proud of it and want to show it off. That's what Blue Moxie is all about for me...making awesome stuff and coaching others to do the same.
